The varsity hosted Hearne last week to play for the District Championship title and continue their undefeated streak. The team fell short with the score of 26-19.

“We were all ready for this game,” senior Alvaro Sanchez said. “Sadly things didn’t turn out the way we expected it to be.”

Although the team lost, the boys were ranked second in the district and are in the playoffs.

“We fought to the end and did not give up, and that’s all that matters,” junior Hector Dominguez said. “Yes, I would have like things to go different but God does things for a reason. I know he has better things planned for us.”

The Lady Bison played against both Frost and Grapeland this past  week. The Ladies defeated the Frost Polar Bears but fell short to Grapeland by 20 points.

“The team is working extremely hard right now ,” junior Kayleigh Rhodes  said. “ We have a lot to improve but we will get here.”

The Lady Bison will Host Anderson-Shiro Tuesday to continue their pre-season games.
