The baseball boys had a tournament Friday through Sunday. The Bison made it past multiple teams to the final round. Although they lost that final game, their 3-1 record for the tourney shows that they have a good start on the season.
“Even though we couldn’t finish strong, I’m glad with how far we got,” coach Jesse House said. “This tournament showed how good we can be and really highlights how our season will go.”
The tournament had 12 different schools competing throughout the weekend. Buffalo was able to sweep through the competition with multiple blowouts.
“I’d say our team has a bright season ahead of us,” junior Mike Brauer said. “If we keep competing like this we’ll definitely go deep in the playoffs.”
Buffalo will play Oakwood next week with high hopes. They believe it will be a one-sided affair.
“From what I’ve seen, Oakwood isn’t good at all,” House said. “If we fight like we did in the tournament, it’ll be an easy game for us.”
