Hulu has brought us Marvel’s Runaways, 11.22.63, and many other exciting series, but one that sticks out the most is the thrilling tv show The Handmaid’s Tale. The series has won many awards from the Golden Globes to the Emmys ranging from Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series to Outstanding Drama Series.
The series is based off of Margaret Atwood’s novel. The raw series follows a woman, June, that lives in a United States after a religion based government takes over, renamed Gilead. With the new government, women are second-class citizens. June is captured, renamed Offred and forced to become a handmaid, bearing children for childless government officials.
The series has been approved for a second season, which will premiere on April 25 on Hulu. Season one remains on Hulu.
