The Good Doctor’s first episode aired in September; episodes air on ABC every week on Mondays at 9:00 pm.
A young surgeon, Shaun Murphy, who has autism and savant syndrome, moves to the city from the country to join a surgical unit at a prestigious hospital, San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital. Murphy has problems interacting with those around him, but he has extraordinary medical skills and intuition.
The Good Doctor is a very enticing series. Fans of Grey’s Anatomy, House and other medical dramatic series would definitely be interested in this show. The show adds a little more of a realistic view and awareness of not only the medical field but also autism. Freddie Highmore, who plays Shaun, is spot-on with his acting and his very believable.
