“Look What You Made Me Do” is Taylor Swift  introductory single for her upcoming album Reputation. She has made a “heel turn” with this song by going from hero to villain.  Compared to a past hit “Shake it off,” where the tone was more playful and upbeat, the playfulness is a little harder to pick out in this one.

Produced by Jack Antonoff, the single has a bit of electropop and strong vocals as soon as she stars the first line. Her voice is the center throughout the song. The beat starts low in the background, and as the song progresses the sound increases and the beat at one point stops to allow Taylor’s powerful voice to be heard.

The video is full of easter eggs and hidden messages that critics unpacked in a matter of hours since its release. “Look What You Made Me Do” emphasizes the blame placed on an enemy. Although the “enemy”, Taylor is referring to is still unknown,critics have jumped into conclusion that it’s directed at Kanye West. Taylor nor the producer haven’t gave out any details about this claim.
