FFA LDE district contest

FFA+LDE+district+contest

The FFA LDE competitors traveled to Madisonville last week to compete in district. While no one advanced, the group did bring home new banners.

“I wish someone would’ve placed,” FFA treasurer, sophomore Ashley Thunderhawk said. “But it was still a good day.”

The students are already ready to face the competition next fall

“We’ll get them next year,” Thunderhawk said. “Now we can focus on our contests coming up.”

The members looked forward to the contest because of what it brought.

“The contest was challenging. I like challenges, so it was fun,” FFA Chaplin Jake Henigan said. “I like going with my teammates and giving it our best. I will miss the contests.”

The Ag teachersĀ are content with the results.

“We didn’t place high enough, but there is always space for improvement,” Mikaela Hall said. ” The teams did great overall.”

New members enjoyed the experience of learning and traveling to practice contests before district even though they wish that district results would have been more in their favor.

“The contest was fun,” freshman skills team member Josh Rodriguez said. “I got really upset when we got sixth place because I knew we could’ve done better.”
