Boys basketball is up and running, with plans for the Christmas Shootout moving up to the first week in December as opposed to during the holidays like previous years. Team members are excited about hitting the court and have already pulled in a sweep against Eustac, with the JV winning 51-31 and the varsity winning 48-30.
“I’ve been waiting for the basketball season to start, freshman Donte Lott said. “I have been playing since I was little, and I can’t wait to play high school basketball. I’m excited to see what talent we have on the team.”
Freshman Bryan Gonzalez is also looking forward to the start of the season.
“I’m excited to play with other people and become closer with people I used to never know or have even talked to,” he said. “I’m ready for the season and to get to play basketball. I have been waiting for it to start since the beginning of school, and now it’s here.”
