Barrel racing is one of the many hobbies that sophomore Marybeth Helmcamp has.

“I love to barrel race the most,” Helmcamp said. “It’s a big adrenaline rush and it’s so competitive.”

Helmcamp loves riding her horse after long days at school.

“Riding my horse is the best,” Helmcamp said. “It’s therapeutic.”

She likes spending her friday nights cheering on the Bison.

“I love taking part in spreading bison pride,” Helmcamp said. “It’s also very fun to hang out with the girls.”

On the weekends, she spends time with her grandmother to play piano.

“I enjoy spending time with her,” Helmcamp said. “Many people don’t have the chance to spend time with their grandparents.”

Many of her friends enjoy her company and friendship.

“Marybeth has been there for me whenever I need someone,” sophomore LaSundra Robinson said. “She has a great personality.”
