The creation of Wonder Woman started in 1941 with William Moulton Marston. The book gave a twist to the normal male-hero stories. The movie, which was released in early June 2017, followed that plot. The movie brought in an estimated $57.2 million in North American theaters.
The movie started with a young princess of the Amazons, Diana. She trains to be a warrior to protect her people. Living on a private island paradise, she meets an American pilot, Steve, who was fighting in the second world war. As the story progresses, Diana and Steve fight in the war to end all wars. Diana discovers her full powers and true destiny in the end of the movie.
The scenes in the film give the audience ideas of what it would look like in the 40’s. When the actors fought it was interesting to see the ways missiles would shot at the planes and the noises that followed the hits. The actors did great with their acting facials, they looked hurt when they got hit in the fighting scenes. At the end of the film, the audience can really get into the story of Wonder Woman, because of how great the actors let the viewers into their fictional lives.
The Wonder Woman movie is a must to watch during a girls’ night. It gives the female watchers the idea of being able to fight anything. It also shows that females can be the heroes too, not just the damsel in distress.
