The Equalizer 3, directed by Antoine Fuqa, is a great movie filled with action and a lot of thrill. In the film Denzel Washington returns as Robert McCall after retiring from the assassin life, but as he settles down in Italy, he soon he finds himself facing a bigger threat: the Italian Mafia.
The movie starts out with McCall held captive at a vineyard by members of the mafia, he breaks free and kills the men holding him in an action packed and gory scene that gets the viewers going. Out of all the action scenes the vineyard is my favorite, it’s choreographed perfectly and director Antoine Fuqa did an amazing job with this scene.
Throughout the movie Denzel Washington has another great performance as he did in the other two movies; he definitely showed why he was chosen for the role of Robert McCall. The movie continues as we see all of Italy and the friends that he had made ever since he had arrived.
Then, the younger brother of a mafia boss came to collect debts from his friends and even beat them for it, which only angered Robert. He chased down the brother and took him out like he had done before, in a gruesome and thrilling scene that really showed what the viewers were getting into. Eventually word got out to the older brother and the chase began.
Like I’ve said before, the movie was a great one. The scenes were filmed and directed perfectly and it really got the viewers excited and even more hooked into the movie. However, the movie did have its downsides with dialogue in some of the scenes. The dialogue could have been better, to me it sounded too bleak and annoyed more than anything else.
Other than that small mistake in the dialogue the movie did live up to its expectations, it was made known that his movie would be the last time we would see Denzel Washington as Robert McCall, I think for his last time as McCall he did an amazing job and has left his mark.
In my opinion the movie was an 8/10, there was a lot of room for improvement in areas of the dialogue and some of the regular scenes but I think they did an excellent job with the action format of the movie and the overall thrill in the movie. I’d definitely recommend that you watch this movie, you’d really enjoy it.
