Tell the truth or you die, do the dare or you die, and if you stop playing you die. These rules were simple but wicked. The only way to survive was to follow the rules.
Olivia (Lucy Hale), Lucas (Tyler Posey) and a group of college friends travel to Mexico on spring break. While in Mexico a stranger convinces Olivia to play the game truth or dare with her other group of friends. Once they start the game it awakens an evil spirit that will follow them until all players die or the one specific person stops it. The game will make the friends unleash their deepest secrets and fears, and if they don’t do as the game says, they die.
The movie was released on April 13, 2018, and directed by Jeff Wadlow. The genres of the movie include horror, mystery, science fiction, suspense, and fantasy.
I would recommend this movie to anyone who loves being thrilled. I personally liked this movie, especially since it had a surprising and a twist ending. Some scenes in the movie made me anxious and nervous, and some scenes made me a little nauseous on how a person would die. The music and lighting in the movie was great along with the actors. The actors knew how to be frightened and hurt when they would get injured. They had great personalities to match each person in the movie. This movie is a definite must-watch for anyone who likes to be thrilled and frightened.
