After is a PG movie directed by Jenny Gage that follows freshman college student Teressa Young. As a teen, Teressa’s mother controlled her love life and made many of her life decisions – and Teressa let her, including choosing a high school boyfriend that her mom approved of. When she got into college she began to close everyone out for a guy who was dark and brooding and who made her question every choice she has ever made in her life.
After is a romance movie about young college students that shows teens and young adults that love is not something that can be rushed. It shows the rhythm of teen drama well and is believable from that perspective. There is plenty of energy and the movie is directed well, making it a must-see for young audiences.
