The varsity hosted Hearne last week to play for the District Championship title and continue their undefeated streak. The team fell short with the score of 26-19.
“We were all ready for this game,” senior Alvaro Sanchez said. “Sadly things didn’t turn out the way we expected it to be.”
Although the team lost, the boys were ranked second in the district and are in the playoffs.
“We fought to the end and did not give up, and that’s all that matters,” junior Hector Dominguez said. “Yes, I would have like things to go different but God does things for a reason. I know he has better things planned for us.”
