The softball senior night was dedicated to the three seniors on the team that have been playing, basically, since they were old enough to hold a bat. The seniors represented were Kysa Taylor, Hannah Eakin, Kynlee Driskill.
The players walked across part of the field to a spot that had their names written in chalk. Their names were called one by one and they were described and thanked for their effort and contributions to the team.
“While Kynlee and Kysa cried, I laughed and smiled,” Eakin said. “I love softball but I’m ready to get this year over with and get headed to Paris to practice sports management.”
All three seniors have been in softball for as long as they have attended Buffalo.
“It was pretty funny to me because all I could think was that I was ready to leave high school,” Eakin said. “It’s been a great experience, though, and I will miss my teammates.”
