Anna Bloom is sent off to a mental hospital by her parents due to their not knowing what to do for her depression and panic attacks. When sent, Anna has no idea why she has been sent or why she couldn’t just get better at home. However, while in the hospital Anna makes friends as well as a love interest.
While getting out of the mental hospital is a goal for most patients, Anna no longer knows if she wants to leave the only place she has friends and someone who truly likes her. Anna’s new friends are the only people she feels comfortable with.
This book by Julie Halpern is a great story for people who feel like they don’t really belong in the common crowd.
