A British teacher, Juhel Miah, was traveling on a school trip from Iceland to New York when he was escorted off of a plane while his 39 students watched. Miah had a valid visa and was born in England but was still not allowed to enter the US.
The incident shocked his students and colleagues, as they feel that Trumps order to temporarily suspend travel to the US for citizens of Iran, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, Sudan Libya for 90 days, may have been responsible for the incident. Icelandair said later that they decided to deny passage to Miah based on a recommendation from the US Customs and Border Protection Agency.
