Jandy Nelson’s first book, The Sky is Everywhere, is a huge success. She started out as a book editor and based this book on her superstition beliefs.
The book is about Lennie, a 17-year-old bookworm and geek, dealing with the struggles of her sister passing away and how to deal with the loss. Later on, she is torn between two boys: her sister’s boyfriend and a new boy in town.
This book will make the reader think about deep things, the meaningful things in life. This is Nelson’s first book and it’s such a good book. The characters are unique and amazing. I fell in love with all of them. I really didn’t relate to the book that much but I still felt a connection to it. I felt like I was in their world. I would recommend this book to anyone. If you really like a soppy story then this if the book for you.
