The Lady Bison volleyball team started district play earlier this month. Although off to a slow start, things are beginning to pick up for the Lady Bison and are looking forward to second round.
“We work hard every day to get better,” junior Shalynn Cotton said. “I’m proud of us as a team and I can’t wait for the second round of district.”
The Lady Bison have good chemistry and coaches that help, they say. The team says that they are learning slowly, but surely, that through hard work and dedication, they can reach their full potential.
“We have to cheer each other on and forget about our mistakes,” freshman Mollie Dittmar said. “Even in some of the games we have lost, we felt like we won because of our attitudes and our chemistry as a team.”
The second round of district begins on October 4 against Teague. The Lady Bison have been working harder in practice in order to prepare for the upcoming games.
“The beginning of district was fun,” junior Kaylee Morgan said. “But now we have to focus on winning and making it to playoffs.”
