Their first win in the books, a victory over Eustace, the Bison are looking ahead this week to Shepard and hoping to make the dubs a habit. Both the varsity and JV teams saw well-deserved wins against Eustace, with varsity pulling in more than 30 points and absolutely dominating offensively.
“On offense we executed just as I wanted them to,” Athletic Director Jamin Savell said. “It was a great game, and the offense definitely showed what they could do.”
As for the JV, the defense once again had no points put up against them and gave up only five first downs the whole game. With almost seven turnovers defensively, the offense had multiple opportunities to put up points.
“Our defense is really good and everyone does their jobs like they should,” junior Trevor Grissett said. “This year seems like a great year for us, and I can’t wait to see what we can do this year.”
The varsity won 50-42; the JV won 34-0. Both teams had excellent performances and left their mark on the opposing team.
“The defense did their best but there are some things we’ll need to work on,” coach Jesse House said. “It was a needed win, and I had no doubt we would get it.”
