National WWII Museum Essay Contest

Description: Contest is open to middle school and high school students in the United States, U.S. territories, and military bases. Student must submit an essay sharing their thoughts on what the United States’ role as the ‘Arsenal of Democracy’ should be today. Only the first 500 essays will be considered.

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current undergraduate and graduate students who are first generation college students (parents did not attend college).

Description: School textbooks often leave out the contributions of black Americans and other figures from underrepresented groups. Description: Scholarship is open to students 13 years of age or older who are legal residents of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia who are currently enrolled (or will enroll no later than the fall of 2023) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education. Applicant will need to submit a short response to a given prompt.

Varsity Tutors Scholarship Contest Description

Varsity Tutors holds a monthly $1,000 college scholarship contest where students write an essay in response to a monthly prompt. Essays are reviewed by Varsity Tutors at the end of the month and one winner is subsequently chosen to receive the $1,000 college scholarship. Interested students can enter the contest here:
