Classified documents were presented last week that include allegations that Russian operatives claim to have personal and compromising information about Trump. The claims were presented as a two page summary. The FBI is investigating the plausibility of the claims.

Senior intelligence officials included the claims in their classified briefing to update the president and president-elect of the allegations. They presented the summaries during the briefing to make Trump aware that Russia had compiled information that could harm both parties. The summary was not officially a part of the report, but it backed up the fact that Moscow intended to damage Clinton’s candidacy.

The summary was considered so sensitive that it was only seen by the president, president elect, and the “gang of eight”. All investigations about Trump were initially funded by groups and organizations supporting Trump’s Republican opponents. A high level administration official stated that he hopes everything is solved, so that all information is evaluated and put into the system and acted on accordingly.
