In every high school there are the athletes, the musicians, the smart kids, and so on, but rarely are all of those characteristics in one person. Jeffrey Pineda is a prime example of a well-rounded student. He takes advanced classes, is involved in NHS, and has been on varsity football for three years. He is ranked ninth in his class.

“High school been really good to me,” Pineda said. “I love competing in things inside and out of school. I like to be in as many things as I can be.”

But Pineda is not just invested in high school activities – he also does many things outside of school. For example, he plays various instruments in his church band, he is part of the radio program, and likes to play soccer with his siblings.

“Music has been a big part of my life,” Pineda said. “I have been playing music for six for the church and plan to continue that.”

Pineda has major plans for after high school. He wants to go to the University of Baylor and major in business and administration while playing football for the team.

“All I really want to do is be the best person I can be,” Pineda said. “I want to leave my legacy at Buffalo High School, and I think I’m doing a pretty good job.”
