Melanie Martinez’s latest album, Cry Baby, is an outstanding album. This album is about a fantasy version of herself when she was a child.

In her music, Martinez has brought something new and intriguing. She stated on her instagram that there were originally 40 songs for the album  but only 13 made it. She also said that the songs tell a story in chronological order. The music shows the harsh realities from being a child to growing up. I think this album was very unique and I enjoyed every song.

Melanie Martinez is a 20-year-old singer/songwriter. Her electropop sound manages to tackle some serious issues while immersing the listener in her sound. This is a definite must-listen.
