Newest Cinderella is a magical movie
Cinderella is a romantic fantasy directed by Kenneth Branagh, with Lily James as Ella. Although not a direct remake, the film borrows many elements from Walt Disney’s 1950 animated musical film of the same name.
The story is based around Ella, whose mother died at a young age. Ella’s wealthy father then marries an evil woman, with two evil daughters, before he then becomes ill and dies as well. Ella is left being taunted by her stepmother and stepsisters, and with the hope that being a kind, caring person will see her through, along with her prince.
One viewer said, “Based on the classic fairy tale, but borrowing heavily from the 1950 film, Cinderella is enchanting, a wonderful and stylish film with a charming lead and emotional narrative.”
Another viewer added, “While not really trying anything new, this live action update of Cinderella may just be the best one Disney has released to date. With all of the charm and sincerity presented by the original Disney fairy tale, every bit of this film is well-acted and well-directed.”
If you are in the mood for an uplifting, magical, and romantic movie, Cinderella may just be the perfect one for you. And most of all, if you loved the original Cinderella movie, odds are you will love the new, modernized classic.
