The Friday night lights are on, the band is playing in the background and the Bison Belles are marching onto the field. There is only one thing different than the usual Friday night, and that is that manager Stefani Trejo is filling in for an empty spot on the field.
On Friday nights, contest days, and during practice, the belles have one superhero that saves the day. Trejo is in charge of multiple things ranging from stocking belle uniforms to checking everyone’s hats. Trejo will sometimes fill in for empty spots in a routine.
“Stefani is my main Belle manager or assistant,” belle director Amanda Harter said. “She is an awesome manager because she looks for ways to help, she always does her best, and she never complains. Stefani is also willing to dance with the group as needed.”
This is Trejo’s second year to be a part of the Bison Belles.
“Stefani was a line member last year,” junior Mykayla Dennix said. “I miss dancing with her but she is a great manager and I still get to dance with her from time to time.”
Trejo also participates in other school clubs and organizations. She is president of the GUILD, a reporter for journalism, and apart of the GEMS club.
“I was a member last year and this year of GUILD,” senior Tyler Clinton said. “Stefani has really made a difference in the club and has definitely brought the improved the club.”
According to Trejo, she enjoys all the clubs and organizations she takes part in.
“Stefani is a true asset to the Bison Belle Drill team,” Harter said. “I wish I had 20 more just like her.”
