One of the famous Super Bowl commercials got a lot of backlash that it didn’t expect. Pictured in the commercial were videos of Americans working hard, but as the commercial went on it contained a powerful excerpt from one of Martin Luther King Jr.’s speeches. The whole idea of the commercial was to show that Ram trucks are “built to serve” as they showed videos of Americans “serving” the country in various ways. The whole commercial had cut out important parts of the actual speech and within hours the Current Affairs magazine re edited the video and showed us what MLK Jr. actually said in his speech instead of the cut up version. Dodge still has yet to reply on the topic, but YouTube took down the Current Affairs video at Chrysler’s request.
