Last week marked the opening of what is called “the store of the future.” Amazon has created a store that allows you to buy groceries without having to go through any checkout lines. The store has guards lining the entrance to make that only customers with the shopping app are allowed in.
There are no registers or cashiers to be found in the store. Shoppers credit cards are scanned through bags and then they are charged on their amazon account. The technology in the store consist of cameras and scanners that can identify everything in the store, without attaching a chip to the product.
