After President Donald Trump announced he would give Congress 6 months to ‘fix’ DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) or end it, many celebrities stepped up and criticized the president for his decision.
Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, and many other celebrities have taken a stand about how inhumane it would be to take away DACA. Ava DuVernay tweeted out, “‘Adult Illegal Aliens’ Just a disgusting display of prejudice, ignorance, and heartlessness. But exactly what’s expected of these cowards.” Gomez posted on her Instagram about what a dreamer is to her and how to defend DACA.
President Obama posted on Facebook about the matter as well writing “…These dreamers are Americans in their hearts, in their minds, in every single way but one: on paper…”
