A precious gold coin, nicknamed the “Big Maple Leaf,” was stolen last month from a museum in Germany. The coin, which weighs more than 200 pounds and is worth millions of dollars, was displayed in a museum and holds the Guinness world record for its gold purity. It is also well known for the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on one side on the coin.
Police confirm after the theft, a ladder was found near railway tracks close to the museum. Police are still investigating if the item was used in a burglary.
