Last week astronauts announced they have found at least seven Earth-sized planets orbiting the same star 40 light-years away. The discovery of these planets outside of our solar system is especially rare because the planets are similar in size to Earth. Scientists also stated they may have similar temperate, meaning they could have water on their surfaces.
Scientists also stated that this is the first time that so many planets of this kind have been discovered around the same star. The seven exoplanets were all found in tight formation around an ultra cool dwarf star called Trappist-1.
