FFA started their competition season strong at the China Springs invitational competition, with five teams placing in the top two places.
The placing teams were Greenhand Chapter Conducting, Ag Advocacy, Greenhand Skills, Radio Broadcasting and Greenhand Creed speaking.
“I thought all the teams did great,” officer Reese Davis said. “It was definitely a great start to the year.”
The Greenhand Chapter Conducting and Greenhand Skills teams both took first place.
“I thought it was a great first experience,” sophomore and first year FFA member Dylan Cornish said. “I will definitely do it again.”
The teams will be competing in another invitational competition next week and then they will be competing for the district championship.
“I know that the Chapter Conducting team made it to Area last year,” Cornish said. “I’m planning to get to also experience that feeling.”
