The Lady Bison defeated Franklin in the Regional Semi-final game at Waco Midway High School Friday night. Their state run ended the next afternoon when they lost to Little River Academy, but the girls came out of the tournament as regional alternates to the state tournament.

“We stood on the threshold of the state tourney without crossing over, but if I had to do it all again, I’d do it just the same,” coach Jozette Jenkins said. “The Lady Bison have been recognized as one of only 10 Texas teams (male and female) to enter the playoffs with a perfect season.  It’s been 13 years since Buffalo made a run that deep and never in the history of the school has any team had a perfect pre-playoff season, and we accomplished it.”
