Annabelle good choice for horror lovers
If you love horror movies, the kind that make you scared to fall asleep at night, then the movie of a pigtailed doll possessed by demons that threatens a young couple with a newborn baby is perfect for you. Annabelle is a prequel to The Conjuring that came out in 2013.
Like The Conjuring, Annabelle is a supposedly-true story retold by paranormal experts Ed and Lorraine Warren. John Gordon (Ward Horton) presents his pregnant wife Mia Gordon (Annabelle Wallis) with an antique doll for her collection. Little does John know that he’s just introduced a possessed toy into his household.
If you’re wondering if this is going to be yet another horror story that is not frightening simply because it is so predictable, you may be in for a surprise. Annabelle is actually rather decent at raising the goose bumps. It is fairly predictable, as horror movies go, but the set pieces, pieces, including the doll itself, are realistic and scary, and the performance by Annabelle Wallis is believable.
