Record levels were reached with bidding wars at this year’s Meet the Bison, pumping the activity accounts of the groups involved in fall athletics. The Band Booster parking spot took the top spot for the evening with $1450.

“We will definitely be able to supply the band with much-needed equipment to get us through the beginning of the year,” director Jeff Villarreal said. “It will really assist with our growth throughout the year.”

Along with the auctioning, the evening gave coaches and directors a chance to introduce their teams, and let the band, Belles and cheerleaders show off some of their hard work.

“It is great being a Bison again,” junior Tommy Burns said. “I really enjoyed seeing all of my friends.”

For some students, the evening was a little more introspective.

“Being a senior and going to my last Meet the Bison was kind of said,” senior Mayte Compean said. “At the same time, though, I was very excited that the band got the most money from the parking passes. I can’t wait to see what they have in store for the rest of the year.”
