With basketball season out of the way, the track teams have hurdled their way into the new season, but a lingering winter and rough spring storms meant that practices were not always on an even keel. Despite rain storms and cold weather, though, the athletes hit the track and practice meets as often as possible to get ready for the district meet.

“I feel like I am extremely ready for district,” sophomore Seth Folsom said. “My teammates and I have been working very hard.”

Students are creating goals and are getting prepared for district, which is next week. The hope is to not only take the district title, but to make it out of district in as many events as possible.

“My goal for this year is to get past at least district,” sophomore Brianna Johnson said. “Since it is my first year, I hope that I can do really well.”
