Join the BHS theater cast on their journey to help save the Frye’s family home and attend patriarch Dewey Frye’s funeral. With lots of family drama to sort through, they try to push it aside for the funeral.
“It’s going really well and it’s very entertaining and funny,” junior Brock Corbitt said. “I think the community is going to enjoy it.”
For the seniors in the cast, this will be their last fall play before moving to OAP in the spring. Ashton Barzda said she is so grateful for everything that director Melonie Menefee has done for her throughout high school and is very excited for her last fall play.
“As a senior, I am very pleased with the play and how well the younger actors are doing,” Ashton Barzda said. “I am sad that this is my last year, but I have really enjoyed the whole process and working together with my fellow cast members.”
Menefee said that she is impressed with the hard work the cast and crew have put in and pleased with how the group has worked together.
“We’ve run into plenty of hurdles to get over all semester,” Menefee said. “Every time there was a crises, though, these students came together to help find a solution. And this show kept us laughing no matter what. I am excited to share it with the community.”
This Southern-style comedy has gotten a lot of students excited to see attend. Freshman Aleigha Rhodes said she is stoked to go see the play and get to watch her fellow classmates perform. And the cast members are happy to show off their hard work.
“Joining this company has been such a rewarding experience, and I have had the absolute best time getting to explore this side of myself,” junior Kaylan Sanchez said. “I am so excited for everyone to come out and see it.”
