From Christmas parties to junior high dances, NHS members have their hands full with activities. This year, NHS has made many plans to give back to the community.
NHS plans to have a joint Christmas party for its members and Student Council. The students plan to do a mug exchange and wrap gifts for the angel tree.
“I am most excited about the Christmas party,” senior Andie Kilgore said. “I can’t wait to have fun with my friends.”
NHS also plans to host a dance for the lower junior high students. They hope to have the event planned out and ready for students in January.
“We have tons of plans lined up for NHS this year, including collaborations with student council, which I am so excited for, and some more ways to get involved with our teachers and community,” junior Kaylen Sanchez said. “We’ve also come up with some new ideas we’re really excited to introduce to the community.”
Officers have organized a team to build a mini library for the community as well.
“I think that I am most excited for our little free library this year,” senior Bradyn Lack said. “We were planning on doing it last year, but we never got around to it. I really hope that the community enjoys it as much as we love making it.”
