With her bubbly personality and positive energy, Alyia Ingram spreads joy everywhere she goes. Her perpetual enthusiasm and team spirit is contagious to those around her.
Ingram has kept herself busy throughout high school with both FCCLA and cheer. She said she is thankful for everything FCCLA has done for her.
“I enjoy FCCLA because it helps me with speaking and leadership skills,” Ingram said. “I’ve made it to state the past three years.”
Ingram is thankful for her time in cheer as well.
“Cheer is like a family and that’s really important to me,” Ingram said. “I enjoy representing my school.
Ingram’s FCCLA achievements aren’t the only awards she’s gotten. She has also been very fruitful in her cheer pursuits as well.
“Freshman year we got first at UCA regionals in Austin and ended up making it to semifinals,” Ingram said. “We’ve competed at UIL state for the past two years. We plan to attend both competitions this year.”
Senior Madison Gilliam eats lunch with Ingram every day.
“Alyia always brings positivity to the table,” Gilliam said. “She is an overall very caring and lovable person.”
Ingram already has her plans together for after graduation. She is set on her dreams and hopes to be successful in her line of work.
“I plan to attend either UT Tyler or Tyler Junior College,” Ingram said. “I want to get a degree in applied science and hopefully get into a sonography program.”
For now, though, she is enjoying her last year of high school and making as many memories as she can.
“My favorite memory was driving to Disney World in Florida to compete at UCA for cheer,” Ingram said. “It was a great bonding experience. I’ve made a ton of memories and I am thankful for all my teachers and peers. I wouldn’t change it for the world.”
