Senior Pep Rally looked a little dfferent this year.
There were the usual games, the banners, the decorations. There was the typical crowd of senior parents on the floor recording every moment. The fun kicked off with a series of relays that involved Oreos, balloons, potatoes and tenns. The competitors had fun even if they did stay confused for much of the game.
“The games were a little random but fun in their own way,” senior Mason Ayles said. “I enjoyed them even though they were pretty crowded.”
Then things changed a bit. As the students settled in for a speech by president Aiden Savage, they were invted to find a specal childhood toy from the pile in the corner of the gym. And if that wasn’t enough heartstring-tuggiing, the senors who participate in extracurriculars lined up to hang up ther jerseys and unforms.
“Once it was my turn to hang up my jersey it really dawned on me that this was it,” senior Maddox Hardin said. “I won’t lie, I shed a couple tears, but I’m just happy about the memories I made along the way.”
