It’s third down and 10 yards to go. Buffalo has a 21-13 lead over Clifton. Senior Maddox Hardin gets into position, determined to make a stop. The ball is snapped and he gets into the backfield for a sack, icing the game.
Hardin, who plays football and basketball, is passionate about sports.
“I’ve been playing sports since I was a kid,” Hardin said. “It’s something that really stuck with me, especially football. Ever since I first put my pads on, I knew football was for me.”
Hardin’s success in football is just part of his identity; he is also very focused on spending time with his family and believes that they contribute to his success.
“I would have never been so successful if it weren’t for my family and their constant support,” Hardin said. “My family has been there for me, and I am glad they show so much support and encouragement towards me even when I don’t play my best. I always see them after the game, smiling and telling me good job.”
Hardin hopes to play college football and earn a degree in Nursing. But for right now, he just wants to make memories with his friends.
“If I get the chance to play college ball I’ll take it,” Hardin said. “It’s been one of my dreams for a long time and something I’ve been striving for. But I don’t want to stress myself out over it, I just want to make memories with my friends.”
