The band held a Halloween party for all members, junior high and high school, last weekend. Director Jeff Villarreal decided to hold the party to give the students something fun to do and to get the junior high students interested in the high school band by giving them a chance to hang out with the high school students. Besides plenty of food, the group had a costume contest and a murder mystery game as well as a mummy wrap relay.
“We also had karaoke for anybody that had the confidence to step up to the mic,” Villarreal said. “We had plenty of food, too. One of the many attractions was the food. There were hamburgers, hotdogs, tamales, rice, chips, dips, cakes and even a chocolate fountain. I know at some point someone wanted to drink out of the chocolate fountain. We had a blast.”
