A 13-year-old boy bitten by a shark at a California over the weekend is on his road to recovery. Keane Webre-Hayes was bitten Saturday while diving for lobsters off the coast of a San Diego beach. He is currently in the intensive care unit at Rady Children’s Hospital-San Diego. Keane suffered major injuries to his upper body and was airlifted to the hospital. All of his limbs are still intact, however, the bite was very deep almost reaching his chest wall.
Keane is recovering well. In fact, he is very aware and awake. He has said that he is ready to get back in the beach and that he is not afraid because the possibility of being bit by a shark again is very slim. His mother told reporters that it is a miracle that Keane is alive and that he is a very strong individual. He is now a survivor and is enjoying the fact that he is a survivor.
