Trump’s lawyer, John Dowd, was the head of a team of White House lawyers that were advising President Trump on Robert Mueller’s investigation about Russia messing with the 2016 election. Trump was ignoring Dowd’s advice on how to respond to the special counsel’s interrogation into the case. Dowd has been caught multiple times trying to get other agents fired. He was out of the tweeting business after he posted a tweet from Trump’s account that stated National Security Adviser Michael Flynn was fired for lying to the FBl, making Trump look like he knew this information all along. Dowd also sent an email this month that seemed to suggest that Mueller should be fired and the investigation should be closed because it was “fraudulent and corrupt.” Trump didn’t do exactly what Dowd wanted and didn’t fire Mueller, so Dowd resigned.
