Jordan Peele’s ‘Get Out’ has been awarded Best Original Screenplay. In his directorial debut, Peele was nominated for four awards. This has made Peele the first black screenwriter to win this award. Four black film writers have been nominated for this film, but have never won, until now. Peele, in his speech, thanked the people who helped raise his voice and let him make his movie.
