Last week, FFA students traveled to the state capitol to spend time with FFA members from all over Texas. Those included alumni and current members. 13 local students traveling to Austin to listen to speakers and learn more about the state government.
“FFA day at the capitol was a success,” junior Peyton Graves said.”Being able to learn how we can change the future, both our current and future generations.”
According to freshman Raeleigh Rhodes, the best part of the trip was meeting people and being able to share experiences with them.
“It was so cool to meet so many different people with the same interests as me,” Rhodes said. “Over the trip, I made a lot of friends and met a lot of really interesting people.”
Although meeting people was a big aspect of the trip, the main purpose was to learn more about the organization and how the students can help their school and community.
“It was really cool,” freshman Sydney Label said. “I am really glad I am in this group. It is helping me get out of this comfort zone and find more things that interest me.”
