A group consisting of five seniors created and delivered a presentation over “Traffic Safety” for the TxDOT Project Celebration competition. After delivering a ten-minute presentation, the Buffalo team won $1,500.
The money, along with a large check, will be delivered in June for the junior class to use towards their project graduation.
“Although we didn’t spend all the time we needed to on the presentation, we were able to pull through,” senior Taylor Lack said. “I know Lilah was really nervous to give the presentation.”
The group consisted of seniors James Rodell, Nadia Garcia, Natalie Uptmor, Taylor Lack and Lilah Adams. All worked in the group, but Adams gave the presentation.
“Buffalo has been participating in the competition for a while,” Rodell said. “Last year the Buffalo team won $1,250 for our class, so we wanted to do the same.”
The requirements for the team were to have a 10-minute presentation over the topic of “Traffic Safety” with both a speech and a presentation board.
“It was bad on our part to put it off until the last minute, but I think we pulled through,” Uptmor said. “We all worked on the presentation board and I think it turned out good. I am really proud of our whole team.”
