The Bison Belle drill team recently traveled to Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches to learn dances and new techniques.
“It was fun to learn dances that the SFA dance team would perform,” junior Iveth Molina said. “I also liked that they gave us tips to improve our leaps and things.”
The Belles split up to learn four different dances so the team could have more routines to take back home.
“I did the Hip Hop routine,” junior Lasundra Robinson said. “It was super fun to learn. Even though it was a hard dance, I still liked it.”
During their dance camp, the Belles were able to look around the campus while they had a break off for lunch.
“The campus was small, but big at the same time,” junior Ashley Thunderhawk said. “It was small enough to walk around but big enough for all the different buildings.”
The workshop was a time for the girls to bond with each other and learn dances.
“I enjoyed being with my friends and the workshop was fun,” senior Taylor Farris said. “I really liked the teachers and the dances.”
