In tribute to Veteran’s Day, all art classes worked on flag drawings and painting. This is a part of the “Lest we Forget” project in which the students use the value skills they recently learned in class.
“This project was really fun to me,” junior Melanie McGill said. “I like honoring the military any way that I can, so this was one of my favorite projects.”
The students had to draw sections of the American flag that included all three colors on the flag. They then had to shade, tint and hue each of the colors.
“The flag project was a unique way to honor the veterans,” junior Ally Smith said. “It was different from the how we usually do our projects.”
Art 1 students had to complete this project with map colors. The upper art classes had to use acrylic paint to finish their project as a harder assignment.
“I liked doing this flag project,” senior Kaiden Loep said. “It was interesting to shade the sections with acrylic paint rather than map colors.”
