During Christmas, the Principle of Human Service classes made handmade Christmas ornaments so they could learn basic hand sewing skills. Teacher Wendy Neyland has done the project with students since 2003 and said she likes the skills the students learn.
“I feel like my students enjoy the end result,” Neyland said. “The students take them home and seem excited to have something to show for their work.”
The students sew the ornaments by hand and are able to take them home after they finish.
“I really learn how to sew when we did this project,” Dylan Cornish said. “I liked being able to take it home, also.”
