A 5-year-old boy at lunch with his parents in a rotating restaurant in downtown Atlanta wandered a few feet from his parents and was tragically killed.
Atlanta Fire Department spokesman Sgt. Cortez Stafford reported that the little boy became lodged between the rotating floor and a wall and then got his head stuck between two tables at the Sun Dial restaurant, which is at the top of the Westin Hotel. He suffered a head injury and was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
“While the parents ate the child was wandering around, as all kids do,” Sergeant Warren Pickard of the Atlanta Police said. “He somehow found himself in a tight spot and got caught between the floor and the wall and was crushed.”
The child was rushed to the hospital in critical condition where he later died.
